Sneakin’ Up and Snipin’ Suckas…

It’s been raining for like 48 straight hours here. Sometimes it’s a steady sort of drizzle, other times it’s that nice big fat rain that Bubba and Forrest encountered, and then there’s time when it’s just this annoying cold mist. I’m not sure how much of the news and weather in Atlanta you guys keep up with, but rain isn’t something we need right now. Last month we had stupid flooding, and this extra water we’re getting now isn’t helping one bit. To top it off, my koi pond out back is getting like really high. It may flood over. Nah, I don’t really think it will, but what if the walls collapse or something? What if Stella and Megatron, my two totally BA Koi, escape into the yard only to drown? Basically, I’m sick of the rain and I want it to stop. I really don’t think that’s too much to ask. Rain makes me want to lay on my couch with Mrs. Mike, terrorize her with my icy feet, and go to sleep. (Side note: Seriously, my feet are like icicles all the time. Don’t ask me why, but they are cold. Really cold.) Only we can’t do that because it’s only Wednesday and there’s still like half the week to go and then it’ll be the weekend and we don’t want to waste that sleeping on the couch all day. Yeah, I hate the rain.

You know what else I hate? Surprises. Especially surprises about something that I should be in the know on. Like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Edition. Damn, did I sleep on this game or what? It’s out. Like, right now it’s out there on store shelves waiting for someone to buy it. I loved the original CoD:MW on the 360, even got in on that lovely beta action early on. The game was dumb how good it was, and the multiplayer was phenomenal. Then it took the turn that all online shooters take into the realm of “everyone who plays this game has no life whatsoever so they are all like level 50 and prestige and total killing machines”. When a game gets there, it’s almost no fun. Especially when you play with the guys who take it way to seriously, like they are really at war. Anyway, the team at Treyarch have ported the original smash hit over to the Wii. I could give you tons of quotes from journalists who actually know something about this game, but that’s not how I roll. I’ll just give you a couple trailers for the game. They look pretty good, nothing like the original of course, and it’s all still a bit short when compared to The Conduit if you ask me. Enjoy, and stay thirsty my friends.
